Thank You, Aneesa!

Yesterday (Thursday 23rd March 23) Cllr Aneesa Akbar announced her resignation, and we have to say a huge thank you to her for her tireless, selfless work. Throughout Her political career in Hull, Aneesa dedicated herself to ending hatred and bigotry in all its forms. Since She and our chairperson Charlie met in the early days of Hull Pledge, she has supported our work every step of the way, and has always been ready to advise us. To see the circumstances of Aneesa's leaving of Hull, we have to say that both the local government and the local opposition should have a think about their actions, and whether local political parties are doing enough both internally and publicly to combat hate. Goodbye Aneesa, we wish you all the best, and thank you for everything.
